Meet our Coaches

Rob Elkins: Executive Director, Softball Director, Softball Coach: A Port Washington resident for approximately 20 years. Has performed 'CPR' on the PW PAL program reviving a 65+ year old organization into a vibrant resource for Port Washington and surrounding towns. Softball coaching experience includes 1) PW PAL D-Backs, winners of multiple Long Island and Regional Championships; 2) Greater NY Maccabi Softball Coach, winner of Bronze Medal; 3) 2017 BQCHSAA DIV "AA" 1st Place Head Coach The Mary Louis Academy; 4) Current JV Coach Our Lady of Mercy Academy Syosset.


Lou Santos: The legendary Lou Santos, Owner/Operator/Director of Diamond Pro's Baseball & Softball Academy, which continues to be the standard for amateur sports organizations. Coach Santos was the 2014 “Man of the Year”recipient by the Greater New York Sandlot Association for his contributions to amateur baseball and softball. PW PAL is honored that he continues to manage our t-ball, baseball & softball programs.


Jamie San Fillipo: PW PAL Soccer Director. Head Men's Soccer Coach at SUNY Old Westbury, San Filippo arrived at Old Westbury after spending the past eight years coaching soccer at MacArthur High School. San Filippo has been very successful on the club level. He coached the Garden City Park Soccer Club from 2006-2010. In 2010, he guided the team to a State Cup Semifinals appearance and division champions in 2007 and 2008. From 2002-2007, he coached boys ages 15-17 for the East Meadow Soccer Club. Jami has been the PW PAL Soccer Director since 2014 and has brought a new passion and energy to the program.


Seth Goodman: Basketball Director: Accomplished Women's College Basketball. In his 11 seasons at Monroe College Coach Goodman had an overall 269-57 record, won 3 njcaa national championships, won 9 straight region XV championships, made 8 straight njcaa final four, and sent over 50 girls to four year colleges. Additionally, he was the 2006 Russell junior college coach of the year and court coach for 2008 (U18) USA Pan-American games team trials. Coach Goodman has strong ties to the area, is a graduate of Adelphi University, and has vast experience working with all age children in a non profit setting.


Rob Weidenbaum: Tennis Director. Cardozo HS All-City Tennis Player. Queens College Tennis Team. Head Pro Boca Raton tennis center 1992-2003. Coached over 70 nationally ranked players who have received college scholarships. Director of Shelter Rock tennis camp 2010- current. Winter program director at Great Neck Estates tennis club 2010-current
